Various Airports
Project Description
Prior to aerial photo mapping, it is necessary to establish vertical and horizontal survey control on the site. Establishing target (or panel) points, and recording the GPS location of those points, allows aerial photo mapping of very large spaces. Meridian Surveys was hired by Potomac Aerial Surveys to establish panel points at a collection of airports in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. In addition to the physical work in the field, deliverables to the client included a coordinate list including elevation of each panel point according to the NAD83/91 survey adjustment.
